The Damn Truth

What is your most valuable thing?
Apart from Love and Life itself,
What is THE Value to you?Mine is Truth,
Truth is one of the hardest things to speak.
It is a hard thing to find;
you could look for it for a long time.
But truth is freeing.
Truth gets you out of your rut.
It gives us the opportunity to rise above what we’ve been taught, what we’ve been oppressed with.
Truth gives comfort and friendships
to the ones who feel alone in theirs,
ashamed of theirs.
Truth is freeing.
It is Purity.
Purity of the heart. Purity of the soul.
Truth is honesty taken to another level.
It is taking your guts and presenting them in your hands.
Opening up your inner parts for something external to see, admire,
fear, or hurt.
Truth feels difficult.
It can break your heart.
Not many are willing to speak it,
Not many are willing to hear it.
So if you take the chance to be powerful,
if you take your guts out for the love of love
Sit still,
in peace;
Knowing that your heart transcends the darkness surrounding your light;
Knowing that its light will wash them away,
and that in pain or happiness,
you’ll be free.
Freed, by this powerful heart of yours.
